With unbroken momentum and a growing interest and attendance, we are making Sustainable World 2026 - The conference for the companies of the future a tradition. The event is now also an industry gathering, bringing together representatives from different sectors to discuss ways to achieve sustainability goals and tangible results.
The unquestionable importance of sustainability efforts and solutions, and their critical role in the economy, was the subject of curious looks at the first Sustainable World conference 7 years ago, but now it is undoubtedly an integral part of business life and corporate strategies.
The business world is being forced to constantly adapt and innovate by challenges such as changes in the regulatory environment, geopolitical tensions, transition and physical climate risks, and changing consumer and investor demands. Rapid reaction, adaptation and flexibility are key words that companies have had to experience from several angles. The maturity of the domestic market is demonstrated by the growing number of players who are already seeing the benefits of being at the forefront of sustainability and looking to the future with a solid foundation.
The event has become a primary forum and meeting place for green industry players, those who are shaping the green economy with a strategic vision and commitment. The Sustainable World conference will address the most topical issues by industry, the issues that are currently driving the economic players in ESG, green finance and sustainability.
Unmissable topics at the conference include the green economy, ESG - both regulatory, reporting and strategic, green finance, financial sector expectations, forward-looking investment decisions, the latest developments in the green energy market, energy efficiency and sustainable business practices.
This was our Sustainable World 2025 conference:
As a prominent innovation and business centre in the eastern part of the country, Debrecen plays a key role in Hungary's economic dynamics. The Debrecen Economic Forum will address both the topical issues of the region and the issues that concern all economic, financial and corporate players, regardless of their location.
The conference will address the hottest economic topics and the specific challenges and responses in and around Debrecen, while also serving as a meeting place for actors from the eastern part of the country. It will explore the burning issues of informed business decision-making: from the trajectory of the Hungarian economy and the surprises to be expected in the second half of 2026, to successfully overcoming the challenges of wage and cost increases, to investment and development in Debrecen and the sources of finance available. In this way, it gives local and regional businesses, SMEs and large corporations the opportunity to obtain credible information on the most up-to-date economic and financial developments.
The Debrecen Economic Forum offers a high level of professional dialogue and valuable business contacts for growth in the region.
